Comments: After the MRI confirmed I had a full rotator cuff tear I consulted Dr. Ghattas. He recommended a few weeks of physical therapy to see if I could avoid surgery but it didn’t improve. I was reluctant to have the shoulder surgery, not only because of my age, 71, but the negative feedback from anyone who had this done. I decided to have the surgery in May and I’m back playing golf 4 months later. I had some inflammation that occurred 2 weeks after surgery that made physical therapy difficult but Dr Ghattas diagnosed and treated it. He also had me stop wearing the arm sling rather than wear it for 6 weeks. After those adjustments I was able to finish physical therapy. I am glad I had this done and I would recommend Dr. Ghattas not only for his surgical skills but his post-op attention to issues that present after surgery.
